産地 · Provenance

One farm. One family. One harvest.

Most matcha is blended from many farms and sold without a name. Ours has a passport — the field it grew in, the weeks it spent under shade, and the day it met the stone mill.

Shade-grown tea fields in morning mist, Uji, Japan
畑 · The farm

We shook hands with our farmers.

We travelled to Uji — the historic heart of Japanese tea — and sat with the family who grow our leaf. No brokers, no blending houses, no anonymous lots. We chose the harvest ourselves, from a single estate that has grown shade-leaf for generations.

  •  Direct-sourced — one estate, a relationship, not a transaction.
  •  Shade-grown — three weeks under cover concentrates L-theanine and umami.
  •  Hand-picked — only the first flush, the youngest spring leaves.
Stone-milled ceremonial matcha powder
挽 · The grade

What ceremonial actually means.

Ceremonial grade is the top of the matcha hierarchy: first-harvest leaf, de-stemmed and de-veined, ground slowly on granite stones so the powder never heats and the aroma never burns off. It is made to be whisked and sipped on its own.

Most matcha sold abroad is culinary grade — later harvests, faster milling, built for baking. The difference is visible before you taste it: vivid jade against dull khaki.

検査 · Tested, not claimed

Quality you can read, not just taste.

Our matcha is certified organic and we hold documentation for every batch we import. Want to see the paperwork for the tin in your hand? Ask and we'll send it.
